Sensex represents all the industries and companies that are actively traded in the stock market. Any popular company that is being traded actively and holds a high market cap comprises under Sensex. However, there are only 30 companies that are currently listed under Sensex. If any company in the future becomes actively traded, it would be incorporated under Sensex as it has a base value of 100 companies.
