Step 1. Download the Axis bank account closure form or get this form from the bank branch.
Step 2. Take printout of the closure form
Step 3. Complete all the fields, which include:
- Account Number
- Account holder(s) name
- ATM Number
- Reason for closure of the account
- Mobile number linked with the account
Step 4. Once you have filled out and signed the form, now attach your ATM card, cheque book, and passbook with the form.
Step 5. Submit the form and attached items to the nearest Axis bank branch and collect an acknowledgment slip from the bank executive.
Is there any charge for closing an Axis bank account?
Axis Bank charges Rs. 500 for closing the bank account. However, the charges are levied if an account is closed between 14 days and 1 year. You don’t have to bear any charges if you close an account within 14 days or after 1 year of account opening.
