Trading in US options contracts si quite possible. There are several brokers such as ICICI, HDFC offering such options. However, keep on thing in mind that you are looking at a 7 times profits or loss ratio. Also, the brokerage might be high, so it’s no feasible to trade extensively which might pile up your brokerage count and eat a significant chunk of your expenses.
Trading options in the US is possible, but they involve many hassles. In the first place, the time difference will make it difficult to monitor and place trades. Furthermore, the brokerage will be extremely high and not feasible for traders to trade in options from India. Apart from this, currency conversion charges and other costs will act as barriers to extract sufficient profits.

Even though it is legal to trade options from India in the US or any other foreign country, but I think trading in the Indian market is a better option than in the US because there will be additional fees and a time zone difference so it will be tough. But for big traders it can be beneficial as there will be more opportunities.
Kotak, Interactive brokers and Kotak are also good platforms.

I’ve looked into this before, and while trading US options from India is definitely possible, it’s not exactly “effortless.” The extra steps like international accounts, funding, and tax compliance are things I’d factor in before jumping in.
Under India’s foreign exchange rules (RBI’s Liberalised Remittance Scheme – LRS), Indian residents can send up to USD 250,000 per year abroad for investments in permitted securities. However:
Indian residents cannot legally trade US options from India using remitted funds, as RBI’s LRS rules do not allow overseas derivatives or margin trading. There is no simple or no-effort legal way to buy and sell US options from India; only long-term investments in US stocks and ETFs are permitted.
